David Ho Art Work

David Ho Development

As David Ho is an artist who uses illustration and design to express pain, depression and despair to create very fearful illustration. I created development pieces from his work as shown below by using masks while trying to keep the metallic look of his work.

Nightmare
Within this piece I have took David Ho's work and tried to add colour by having metallic colour's but then the luminous blue eyes could add a fear factor as some people could see it as alien like as this links to my project is aliens are a prospect that people are scared of,m whether they are real or not, we don't know but a lot of people are scared of aliens. I experimented with masks as a lot of people are scared of masks as they don't know what is behind them, by adding multiples of these it then creates an element of fear as it becomes creepy.

Mask
Within this piece of art I then looked at David Ho's work which is designed to show depression and despair. Within this piece of work I have experimented with textures, as the background of this piece of artwork is under a old bridge which makes the art piece looks worn down and breaking away which can show depression and despair as well as fear as people have a fear of anything breaking away and being destroyed. I used a mask as when asking friends and family it is one of the things that they are mainly scared of, this is because people are unsure what is behind them and they are fake. I have used black and white colour so that it has a metallic colour to it so that it looks dull and depressive which are a lot of people's fears.
